Watch the children's sermon from Sunday here The First Sunday of Advent homesick (hope)* Luke 21:25-36 This is what Paul wrote to his friends in the city of Thessalonica while he was away: “We pray that we can see you again and give you all the things you need to make your faith strong. We pray that our God and Father and our Lord Jesus will prepare the way for us to come to you. We pray that the Lord will make your love grow more and more for each other and for all people. We pray that you will love others as we love you and that your hearts will be made strong.” —1 Thessalonians 3:10b-13a (ICB) I Wonder... I wonder what Paul was feeling when he wrote this letter. I wonder if you’ve ever felt those feelings, too. I wonder what you do when you miss someone. I wonder if you’ve ever missed your home. I wonder what it feels like to have to leave your home.  Say The good news is that God is always with us, even when we are away from home, even when we miss the people we love, and we ca

I wonder if you have something special that was given to you by a grandparent that you only know from stories that were told to you. Please share in the comments what that is. I wonder how you know someone loves you. Do you know someone that loves you, that you don’t really know? I wonder how you can pass your love to people who will come after you. Watch the children's sermon from Sunday here I Wonder  . . . I wonder what it means to be spiritually hungry or thirsty. What are some “spiritual things” that a person might be hungry for? I wonder how many young people in Loveland need new or warm clothes. What are some ways you could share with them? I wonder what our church is doing to help others. Who can you ask questions or talk to I order to find out what our church is doing? There was no Children’s Sermon this last Sunday. We were celebrating All Saints’ Day. This is a Sunday when we remember and recognize the people in the church who have shared their faith and worked to grow our faith through the years. The service was a beautiful one. Jeannie Stuntz read stories of some of the people in our church we worked hard in the past to support us. We also recognized groups of people who are working today to continue our learning and growth. I Wonder… Who are the special people in your life that have helped you learn about God and Jesus? Who are your friends in our church that are important to you? What can you do to share your faith with someone else?   Thoughts for Tots Godly Play - The Good Samaritan   Jokes for Joy What is the fastest way to annoy a doctor? Take away his patients.
